U Square @ the Loop reimagined a long-underutilized site at the edge of the University of Cincinnati, transforming it into a vibrant mixed-use destination. Spanning four city blocks, the development brings together apartments, offices, restaurants, and retail around a central green that serves as a neighborhood gathering space. The design stitches new buildings into the urban fabric, activating the street edges while providing structured parking to support residents and visitors alike. Sustainable strategies guided the project, with the residential tower achieving LEED certification and the office interiors designed under LEED for Commercial Interiors. Today, U Square @ the Loop stands as both a campus gateway and a lively hub for students, neighbors, and the broader community.
