Vandalia Point has transformed a long-vacant lot in Northside into 52 affordable apartments ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, reserved for households earning up to 60% of the area’s median income. The development includes the rehabilitation of two existing structures alongside a new infill building, carefully designed to complement the neighborhood’s historic character. A brick façade along Hamilton Avenue ties into the district’s architectural context, while varied siding patterns, balconies, and porches create a dynamic, human-scaled streetscape. Residents will benefit from on-site amenities including parking, laundry facilities, supportive services, and shared gathering spaces. Designed in collaboration with Urban Sites and Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, the project reflects extensive community input and is supported by low-income housing tax credits. Vandalia Point restores much-needed affordable housing options and helps longtime Northside residents remain in their community.
