Our Firm

At New Republic, we are a collaborative team that pushes the edge of wholistic, intentional design. Relationships with our staff, our Clients, and the communities we design for are at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is to enrich our communities through the conscientious design of spaces for people to live, grow and thrive.

We believe that great architecture is a catalyst for positive change in communities and can revitalize our rich urban, suburban and historic landscapes.

DESIGN FOCUS

We strive to provide innovative solutions that are timeless and will outlast temporary design trends.

We are equally engaged in preserving our community’s historic architectural legacy, enhancing our urban core, and bringing an element of urbanity to the suburbs. Our passion is housing. Whether multi-family or single-family, Historic Rehabilitation or new construction, market-rate or Affordable Housing, purely residential or mixed-use, our team is excited about all types of residential architecture.

CLIENT FOCUS

We give our Clients a collaborative, personal experience without sacrificing the design expertise and project knowledge of a larger firm.

Whether a single-family or multi-family developer, we appreciate the Client relationship and deliver attentive customer service because when our Clients are having a good experience, so are we. We take initiative; we bring ideas to our Clients and try to create intelligent growth opportunities for them. Our Clients trust us because we are accountable, we own our work, we follow up and follow through.

We have fun taking architecture seriously.

We are proud of our culture. How we treat each other, our Clients and our community, matter to us. Our culture is defined by our Core Values: we are passionate, collaborative, supportive, and we are always learning.

Passion

We are passionate.

Passion is at the heart of all we do for our Clients, our communities, and one another. We select projects that inspire passion in our team and we work with Clients that share our passion for conscientious, innovative design. We know what quality housing does for people and communities – it helps them thrive, and when we love what we do, we thrive too. We are design driven.

Collaboration

We are collaborative.

Collaboration is the hallmark of our design ethos. Our staff, our Clients and communities all have something to teach, learn and offer. Applying our combined knowledge and skill sets helps us foster new ideas, expand our expertise and create success. Collectively we are stronger than any one individual. We design together.

supportive

We are supportive.

We respect, help and support each other in our professional development and our everyday lives. We believe our designs should support our communities. We support our Clients and local community organizations beyond the projects we engage through volunteer opportunities and community betterment programs. We understand that a supportive work environment helps all of us, our staff, our Clients and our communities, thrive.

learning

We are always learning.

Our studio is imbued with a spirit of curiosity – about buildings, about design, about our Clients and our communities. We take the time to teach, advise, and learn with our team, our Clients, our consultants and our neighborhood. We are always open to new ideas and empower everyone we work with and grow to thrive. We design different.

work and play

We have fun. When you love architecture as much as we do, it shows.

While the New Republic team works hard in the studio, we also believe in work-life balance. We make a habit of having fun outside the office, celebrating big and small wins with the team and our Clients. From happy hours at a neighborhood brewery, to visiting local entertainment spots and backing local fundraisers, we believe in celebrating our successes while supporting our community.
